Rising Stars: Meet Yayi Dia of Buffalo, NY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yayi Dia.

Hi Yayi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
For about 5 years, I have had many opportunities to support other creators, artists, visionaries, and businesses in optimizing their branding, creating social impact and activation, and creating true community in their markets. Building Eleveé Co., LLC, is the moment I bet on myself enough to do the same for my own brand.

I started in the creative industries as an aspiring model and a young, fiery serial entrepreneur with the same underlying skill sets that have always directly contributed to the level of impact and influence that I’ve been able to create with my personal brand growth thus far.

What is cool about building Eleveé Co., LLC from the ground up is that I make all the rules here. I’ve been blessed with such an incredible core team of creators that not only truly believe in my vision but they also believe in their own, and that is the whole point of building an agency like this — to push the boundaries of what we thought could exist, what leadership can look like, what building and rebuilding with visionaries can be.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Is any road smooth these days?! Haha, absolutely not, honestly. Nothing in this life has been “easy” for me, per say. I still face challenges every single day. There is so much going on in the world around us, yet I am still so blessed, so I will take my rain with my sunshine! When you have a limit on your resources, especially and including time, you will certainly face challenges, high and low.

Finding a healthy balance of building integrity for a brand and staying true to being a softer version of myself with age has been a challenge for me. People often describe the business world as a “dog eats dog” world, “a man’s world”, and I have made a conscious decision to go through traditional business school for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees and STILL not subscribe to that way of building a brand. Learning how to use my desired softness as a super power requires a true healthy medium that can be challenging when you really want it all.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Eleveé Co., LLC is a newly founded branded agency that officially launches to the greater public in September 2026, WITH it’s very own print only media element— Eleveé Magazine. Eleveé Co. renders creative branding solutions including style (wardrobe) direction, creative direction (project-based), and brand experience (activation/event curation). Eleveé Co. serves creatives and businesses ready to elevate their image, presence, visibility, and brand experience through strategic, high-impact marketing and branding solutions. We empower brands and communities by curating strategies, experiences, and resources that fuse creativity with culture and accessibility.

What does success mean to you?
I define success as regaining true ownership of my time and energy. Being fully autonomous in that way, at least. Establishing freedom that allows for us to take proper care of our team, of the people I love, including myself, and to be able to wake up and move around whenever and however the hell I want and for others to be able to do the same because of our shared visions.
