Rising Stars: Meet Evgeniya Dergacheva of Fort Lauderdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evgeniya Dergacheva.

Hi Evgeniya, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I came to the United States about 15 years ago with only $400 in my pocket and no English. I started from the very bottom — cleaning, serving, bartending — and I worked nonstop while learning the language and trying to build a life. Those years taught me resilience, discipline, and the belief that if you work hard and stay consistent, you can create something beautiful.

Before aesthetics, I worked as an insurance agent, but I didn’t feel fulfilled. One day I saw a friend post on Facebook about how much she loved her job in dermatology, and something clicked in me immediately. I realized I wanted to do something meaningful — something that helps people, changes lives, and makes them feel confident in their own skin.

I enrolled in esthetic school and became completely obsessed with learning. I read books, took extra classes, listened to education constantly, and I worked hard to become the best aesthetician I could be. After several years in the industry, I took one of the scariest steps of my life and opened Healthy Glow Aesthetics.

Starting my own business was terrifying, but it was also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I built Healthy Glow on the belief that skincare should be personal, results-driven, and rooted in trust. My greatest joy is seeing clients transform — not just their skin, but their confidence. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to do what I love every day and to create a space where people feel cared for, supported, and truly seen.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all — it definitely wasn’t a smooth road.

When I first came to the United States, I had no English, no connections, and very little money. I worked extremely hard just to survive, and there were many moments where it felt overwhelming. Learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and trying to build a future from scratch was one of the biggest challenges of my life.

Professionally, another challenge was starting in a new industry and realizing how much more there was to learn beyond school. I was determined to become truly great at what I do, so I invested a lot of time and money into continuing education, advanced training, and learning from the best. That took discipline and sacrifice.

Opening Healthy Glow Aesthetics was also a huge leap. Building a business is stressful — especially when you care deeply about doing things the right way. There were times I felt fear, pressure, and doubt, but I kept going because I believed in my mission and in the impact this work has on people’s confidence.

Every struggle shaped me, and I’m grateful for it. It made me stronger, more focused, and even more passionate about creating something meaningful for my clients.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a medical aesthetician and the founder of Healthy Glow Aesthetics. I specialize in results-driven skincare and advanced treatments that improve skin health long-term — not just temporarily. My passion is helping clients transform their skin in a way that looks natural, refreshed, and truly healthy.

I’m especially known for creating customized treatment plans and being extremely detail-oriented. I take the time to understand each client’s skin, lifestyle, and goals, and I never take a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether someone is struggling with acne, pigmentation, texture, aging, or skin sensitivity, my goal is always to create a plan that delivers real results while protecting the skin barrier and overall health.

What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients. Many of them have been with me for years, and they don’t just come for a facial — they come because they know they are cared for, listened to, and supported. The biggest reward for me is seeing someone’s confidence come back when their skin improves. That is what makes my heart happy.

What sets me apart is how deeply I care and how seriously I take my work. I never stop learning — I’m constantly investing in education, training, and the best technologies and skincare so I can offer my clients the highest level of care. I also treat every face like it’s my own. This is not just a job for me — it’s my passion, my purpose, and something I put my whole heart into every single day.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is making a real impact — helping people feel confident, cared for, and proud of the skin they’re in.

Skin affects everything: how you show up in the world, how you feel when you look in the mirror, and even how you carry yourself. I’ve seen so many clients come in feeling insecure or defeated, and then completely transform — not just physically, but emotionally. That is what makes my work so meaningful to me.

I also care deeply about trust. Clients are trusting me with their face — and that is something I never take lightly. I want every person who walks into Healthy Glow Aesthetics to feel safe, understood, and truly taken care of.

At the end of the day, I’m proudest when clients feel better than when they came in — not just because their skin looks better, but because they feel more confident and supported. That’s the purpose behind everything I do.
