Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecilia Antelo Franco
Hi Cecilia Antelo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you for this interview, My name is Cecilia Antelo Franco, a content creator and photographer based in South Florida.Originally from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, I moved to the USA a decade ago. Back in Bolivia, I pursued modeling and studied Corporate Communication. I’m Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
Portuguese became my second language as my mom relocated to Brazil when I was young, leading to frequent vacations there. Upon arriving in the USA, I started from scratch, working various jobs like waitress and hostess. Gradually, I transitioned into what I love, including Live facebook streaming shows, local commercials and some small roles in tv comercials. However, my passion for photography and content creation has flourished over time, allowing me to now pursue it professionally.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely one of the toughest parts was learning a new language, getting used to a different culture, and being far from family during important times. I’ve had to deal with hate and unkind comments about my accent too.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Thank you so much I appreciate it. I’m a content creator and photographer who loves shooting landscapes, nature, and lifestyle scenes. What sets me apart is my passion and dedication to creating standout content and I’m always learning in my time off, whether it’s through online courses, testing out new gear or watching YouTube tutorials from experts in the field.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I see risk-taking as essential for personal growth and progress. While I wouldn’t call myself a daredevil, I do believe in stepping outside my comfort zone when the potential for meaningful change outweighs the fear of uncertainty. One of the most significant risks I ever took was leaving my life in [home country] at 25 to move to the USA alone, driven by love, without any family or support system here. It was a leap into the unknown, starting from scratch in a foreign country. Although the relationship didn’t last, I made the tough but necessary decision to walk away from a toxic situation and embark on a new chapter by myself. At the time, some people doubted my decision to leave a comfortable life in my country for love in a foreign land. But in hindsight, that risk was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It not only helped me develop resilience and independence but also taught me invaluable lessons about trusting my instincts and embracing change. Looking back, I have no regrets about taking that initial risk. It taught me invaluable lessons about courage, determination, and following my heart, even when faced with uncertainty. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most unexpected paths lead to the most fulfilling destinations.
