Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Belletti.
Valentina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Novara, a beautiful medieval city just outside Milan (Italy). I spent most of my life in Italy following the world of design, with a particular attention to emerging artists. But this is not where I started… over the course of my life, several strong turns led me to become what I am.
My studies in Biology led me to live in Bologna and then back to Milan, my second home. Milan with its great energy and its deep instinct for innovation and research pushed me to follow my passion for the world of art and design. Here one of my big turns, I moved away from the scientific world to dive into the creative one. I obtained a master’s degree in Interior Design and Management at
Politecnico of Milano and I started my career in the world of design. I followed my creative vein in design alongside incredible designers and in the meantime, I worked as interior decorator. Soon I started to manage some design furniture stores both in Italy and in Miami. I also enjoyed the artistic world while founding emergent artists.
I always need to fill my life with energy, stimuli and colors. That’s why I decided to move to the United States bringing with me my two kids: Giacomo and Irene. Boca Raton became our home, one step to the sparkling Miami where to gather new energies and ideas. Here is where I could find the perfect balance in which to be reborn under a new guise with my baggage of ideas.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I had to cover a long distance full of obstacles that became springboards… it is difficult to tell, but I’ll try to show you the energy… “Uphill race with legs that run as if it were downhill. Fast, run fast inside. Run, run, run against the clock and after a second… my step resounds on the leaves of my inside.
Stop Valentina, stop and start waiting for time to reach you. Stop and wait sitting on a boulder of this mountain. Speak, laugh, write, that time passes, dilated between feeling and being. Energy flows enveloping me, energy springs from a smile that is born. Eyes that light up, and then I run like the wind runs on my sea. Long look, look over.
Beyond all over the hole, beyond time, I find and always find myself. I walk down and I’m not looking anymore.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Eclettica Boutique – what should we know?
Today, all my background is poured into ECLETTICA, a concept store where the leading goal lays in the research for materials and lines that make each piece unique.
ECLETTICA is a narrative structure repository of ideas embracing fashion, art, design and culture. ECLETTICA’s cloth are synonymous of innovation, artisan craftmanship, often unique garments, from the tradition and the culture of beauty.
I personally designed all the elements of the boutique using unpublished materials like my “LEGNI D’ACQUA”. Those are woods recovered on the bottom of the cold Italian lakes during my scuba diving.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The ideas of Made in Italy above all through the value of exclusivity for lengths and contrasts, shape and proportions, harmonizing the unexpected with elegance. Concepts that evolve and come together when the garment is worn. Nothing is random, everything is a detail.
