Meet Tre Tate of Mount Rise Fitness Studio, best known as, The Mount

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tre Tate.

Hi Tre, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began personal training while attending Tennessee State University in 2015. At the time, my goal was to pursue a career in physical therapy, and I viewed personal training as a stepping stone—an opportunity to gain experience working one-on-one with clients in a health-focused setting.

However, after just a few months of working closely with individuals and seeing the direct impact I could make on their lives, I quickly developed a genuine passion for the profession. What started as preparation for another path evolved into something far greater. During that time, I began building my brand, “Massif Fitness,” and discovered a deeper sense of purpose in helping others improve their health, confidence, and overall quality of life.

Fast forward to 2026, I’ve been fortunate to turn that passion into something bigger than I initially imagined. I opened my own fitness studio, “Mount Rise,” with a mission to create opportunities for other fitness professionals. The goal is to provide a space where trainers can operate independently, build their own brands, and grow their businesses—free from the constraints of traditional corporate environments. It’s about giving others the same opportunity I once had and creating a community centered around growth, freedom, and purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building a brand from the ground up comes with its fair share of challenges—especially when relocating to a completely new state where you’re starting from scratch and no one knows your name. The journey was far from smooth; it often felt like climbing a mountain, with constant obstacles that required resilience and persistence.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning and understanding the business side of building a brand. While the hands-on work has always come naturally to me—driven by a genuine passion for what I do—the back-end operations have required a different level of growth. From administrative responsibilities to financial management and overall business strategy, there has been a significant learning curve, and it’s an area I continue to develop every day.

That said, growth is something I take pride in. I’m far more knowledgeable and well-rounded than when I first started, and that progression is a testament to my commitment to both my craft and my business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Mount is centered around uplifting and elevating fitness professionals across all disciplines—whether you’re a personal trainer, athletic trainer, Pilates instructor, yoga instructor, or group fitness coach. Our mission is to provide a space where these professionals can truly take ownership of their craft.

The Mount was created to eliminate the traditional corporate model where trainers often give up a large percentage of their earnings. Instead, we operate more like a salon suite for fitness professionals—offering independence, flexibility, and the opportunity to build and grow their own brand without unnecessary limitations.

We are proud to have a team of highly qualified professionals, including three personal trainers who collectively cover all aspects of fitness—strength and conditioning, mobility and flexibility, weight loss, and rehabilitation. Each trainer is a college graduate and a certified professional, bringing both education and experience to the table. In addition, we are honored to have one of the top Pilates instructors in Broward County, who is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy, further elevating the level of care and expertise within our space.

We are off to a strong start and are excited to continue making a positive impact within the Coral Springs community and throughout Broward County as a whole.

Above all, readers should know that this is just the beginning of a new wave. The Mount is committed to delivering high-quality, professional health and wellness services, while proving that there are still dedicated professionals in this industry who genuinely care about helping individuals improve not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Helping others. It’s all I witnessed from my parents growing up, they dedicated their lives to assisting others anyway that they could without an expectation. Witnessing their walk in life impacted me to do the same in the health of wellness industry.
