Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Williams-Saffold.
Alicia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My journey as a nationally accredited training provider began long before I ever imagined it. I matriculated from early childhood classroom teacher to director of a preschool. However, after 18 years of employment, something happened on the inside that prompted me to desire more. I believed that I could make a broader difference. So with the help of a family member (Shilondra Sheppard), we brainstormed and decided that I would provide tutorial services to children ages 5 to 12 years old. The idea became a thriving tutorial company (Script- Fully U Enrichment, Inc.) that morphed into a training company. While operating my company, I went on to become a college instructor. Initially, this was a dream come true! After all, I obtained my education in hopes of becoming a college employee.
After eight years of instructing at the college, I was presented with an option; Choose to operate my business at a smaller scale or continue to work with the college. I instantly realized that I would never “play big” if I continued to allow others to determine how often I would provide instruction to my community. So, I began the process of becoming one the few nationally accredited sole proprietors that offered training and technical assistance. Although the accreditation process was the most tedious process that I had ever encountered in my career, the accomplishment alone represented that I could do ALL things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. Currently, I am establishing a strong foundation that will be a blessing to my children and my children’s children.
Has it been a smooth road?
The most difficult part about stepping out on your own is the inconsistency of income. I thank GOD for my husband, Ezra!
There were times that I did not know my next move. I only knew to be consistent with all of my actions. I met individuals along the way that introduced me to a key person in an organization and I would simply follow up. After a while, my client base grew and I work every day to maintain it.

My company Training Source One is a d/b/a for my initial company Script – Fully U Enrichment.
Training Source One is a premier training organization that provides accredited professional development training, coaching and classroom consultation to Early Education Leaders and Childcare Professionals.
I am most proud of the amount of organizations that I have been able to work with. Through my work with them, I have been able to create training that cater to current needs within their centers.
What sets me apart from any of the organizations that may offer somewhat of the same services is my ability to create training curriculums according to the needs of the organization. In addition, the company travels to the locations to provide training and provides frequent opportunities for training at the Training Source One site.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like the city of Miami is a great place for businesses like mine. Mainly because of the chance of reaching several cultures.
