Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella (Gaby) Rodriguez.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in Miami. I don’t really have too much sticky stuff to share. I come from a beautiful and loving family, that I am so grateful to call my own. I am a full-time student, and am very proud to say a good one! I plan on studying business and financing. I got into the whole influencer scene pretty recently. I think that social media is such a powerful platform and so much can be done with it. My focus is on creating content, like beautiful photos taken around my city. I love interacting with people from my city, I feel that everyone is a different story and you can learn so much from anyone that you meet.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Becoming an influencer may seem easy to many out there but everyone faces their own hardships. Sometimes, I find myself in a rut, where I don’t have the energy to get all pretty and go around taking photos. Or sometimes, I take a great photo but I get low activity on the post! Both are equally discouraging, but I always remind myself of why I do this, pick myself back up and continue making content. I still have so much space and time to grow and goals to reach!
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
My work is centered around my lifestyle. I share photos of my beautiful city, Miami, that I am so lucky to call home. Events in Miami, attractions, and restaurants are among the places I take my photos. I share about makeup, like a beauty guru would, and about the gym.
So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
Absolutely, at this day in age, there are opportunities for women everywhere you look! Particularly living in the land of the free, women are entitled and encouraged to follow their wildest dreams. Do you want to open a business? Go for it. Do you want to be your own boss? Why not! You want to pack up your things and move to the city you love? So, be it! I strongly believe women are the strongest breed you’ll find on this Earth, anything we put our minds to, we can achieve. #GirlBoss
