Meet Southrn Most in North Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Southrn Most.

Thanks for sharing your story with us SoMo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Brooklyn, NY – moved down to Carol City with my parents at age eight and moved around Miami (Opa-Locka, Hialeah, North Miami, Allahpattta, etc.) – in every hood basically. When I lived in Hialeah, I went to North Twin Lakes Elementary school where I joined the chorus and during that time my older cousin, Jose lived with us, taught me how to write “rap” lyrics after school.

Soon after, I joined the band class and after school jazz, orchestra and parade band, mastering the Trombone and leading the school’s Trombone section in 1st Chair. The love for music always made me curate and better my talent. I went to Full Sail University to get a degree in Recording Engineering and flunked out my 2nd year – it was a wake-up call and kind of sunk me into a hole for a while until I moved back down to Miami and got back in the music scene.

I worked on my craft after countless hours wasting my time and throwing my money away in studios where I got treated like in and out client. In the last two year met and have worked with two engineers who are now good friends, that took the time to help me develop my sound and style in my music delivery.

Last year in February 2018, I performed at CLUB LIGHT in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas for a sold-out club with over 2,000 attendees. I dropped a song called who’s got my money with over 110,000 views on YouTube – I did a feature on a MaesaDasouqi single with over 2,000,000 views on YouTube called the taste of love and have landed my music on SPOTIFY, APPLE MUSIC, and TIDAL in the last year under my name SOUTHRN MOST.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The complete opposite of smooth.

The worst thing is having to deal with sharks and people who don’t give a f**k about your music or career and try to squeeze every penny out of you.

But it’s a learning process and part of this industry, no matter what.

I got scammed out of $1,000 from a “big shot” producer and artist developer only to get 1 radio interview that was not even broadcasted and 1 repost on Instagram.

Worst investment I’ve ever made but it only helped me.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m an artist.

I create vibes out of my music and visual delivery.

My goal is to make the person listening to my music happy. Always.

Music changes lives and I want to be a positive impact for the current and younger generations.

Tell us about your childhood, what were you like growing up?
Introvert – did not believe in me.

I had zero confidence and generally doubted everything I did by overthinking.

I always thought someone else was better than me.

I have interested always in music, girls and WWE wrestling.
