Meet Sherrie Amoretti of WLEO (Women Lift Each Other) and (Styles By Sherrie Amor)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherrie Amoretti.

Sherrie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Miami and I am currently 28 years old. My passion growing up was dance until I got injured when I was 18 years old. I was hard headed as a kid and I had no plan B. My aunt, who is a publicist introduced me to the entertainment industry. I will never forget that she needed a wardrobe for a video a shoot. I went to boutiques, introduced myself as a wardrobe stylist,  presented them our project and they let me pull the outfits for the video shoot. It was one of the best experience and Ive continue to expand my services throughout the years. I’ve had the pleasure to meet/work with so many amazing people and celebrities. I love that I can make people get out of their comfort zone and make them look and feel good with what they are wearing. Besides celebrity styling, I am the founder and CEO of WLEO (Women Lift Each Other) an organization focused on building a supportive community of women. I always had a vision and a passion to unify my sisters, as well as strangers under the power of sisterhood! It is based here in Miami, FL but the goal is to continue to connect women in the same cities, states, countries and throughout the globe.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth, but good things take time and patience! That’s the beauty of it. You learn to better yourself and appreciate to love your craft! I had so many people that didn’t believe in me nor my passion, many thought that being a stylist wasn’t a career and that it was a joke. I constantly had people tell me that I needed to go to school for an actual career because I would never make it as a stylist. Now, the same people that use to tell me this are the same ones congratulating me on my work today.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am known for making my clients feel comfortable, fabulous and happy with my styling services. I have clients that will call me either early morning or late night because they need help with which pair of shoes they should wear with their outfits!! Haha, and I love receiving those messages/calls because they are my priority! Besides my career as a stylist, I am currently focused on WLEO (women lift each other) my women empowerment group and also my online clothing boutique that will be coming soon! Those two things are my current babies right now, I want to make sure that I continue to expand my craft and continue to share it with everyone. I am proud and happy that I can help others, that I decided to keep going when others said I couldn’t and that I never gave up!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t call it luck. Hard work, persistence and dedication is the key. That’s how I’ve been able to do everything that I’ve done in my personal life and business.
