Meet Sarah Sebastian of Rose Gold Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Sebastian.

Sarah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My career background has been mostly within the spirits and lifestyle brand space and specifically experiential before it was truly called that. I have always been a creative solutions forward entrepreneur and after 12+ years working for small brands and large ones with some agencies in between, I left my last corporate job, which was at Team Enterprises leading the events nationally for Bacardi USA trade advocacy to launch Rose Gold Collective. It has been an exciting ride building the niche I saw corporate events needed.

I started Rose Gold Collective with zero clients and built a brand and a remote community of our women-owned and operated agency that now executes events all over the country. Corporate companies want their meetings and conferences to be engaging, modern and shareable. Our team creates memorable moments with a brand lens designing and producing what more traditional DMC and event planners would normally provide but we consider all technology enhancements and experiential marketing to make the client’s brand content feel more relevant and essentially become more impactful.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Entrepreneurship is never easy, no matter what industry or product you provide. I always say being a business owner is not for someone who is emotionally unstable or takes rejection personally. The roller coaster isn’t wide stretched ride. Often times there are multiple ups and downs in ONE day. It is at first difficult for new clients to trust you and your work, but I truly believe that if you lead from a good place of wanting to help them solve their own challenges, in our case it’s often crowd engagement or bringing their brand to life in a modern way at an event.

Please tell us about Rose Gold Collective.
Rose Gold Collective is a full-service experiential event marketing agency. We design and produce engaging, creative event experiences for lifestyle brands and corporate companies across the US from trade shows to conferences to pop up brand launches.

We are often considered DMCs to some of our more traditional corporate clients and what easily sets us apart is we have a modern approach to what motivates guests to engage with brands and content when designing and recommending event details and programs that bring the brand to life, What sets us apart is our national and global reach to execute an event all while keeping our team remote and in touch with the latest trends and newest event software and technology to recommend to our clients. Another differentiator is we are a women-owned and operated business that allows our diverse group of remote event professionals to let their creativity shine. Our approach to an event is different as we look at each event no matter the industry or type of event as it’s own brand considering the pre, live and post-experience as well as the moments within that we can always surprise and delight, and always look for a surprise touch at every event we like to even surprise our clients with!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t have done it any differently. I truly believe you are meant to be on a path and learn from it along the way, that is what makes the journey interesting and you more successful.
