Meet Saily Ledesma of thesailyway in Little Havana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saily Ledesma.

Saily, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always been into fashion, photography, discovering new places to visit and places to eat. My friends would always tell me to open up a blog and I always thought the idea was great but I didn’t think others would enjoy my posts, or identify themselves with me because I really didn’t believe my life was that exciting. Once I finally took the leap and decided to go for it, I realized I was very wrong. People actually do enjoy my posts, they’re constantly asking me for advice on places to eat, on where I buy some of the clothing items I post. I do this because I truly enjoy it. I love interacting with others and giving them just a little insight into my life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think the biggest challenge has been to create content for my Instagram page. Living a normal life, working 9-5 every day makes it very difficult to create new and fresh content. Thankfully, I have great friends who also blog and ask me to always come along to the events they get invited to and that has helped me to not only create content but to network and meet others. Which helps me to learn about some of the obstacles they have encountered and how they’ve managed to strive.

Please tell us about your work.
I try to just be myself. To show my audience what I like to do for fun, where I like to eat, where they can find good deals on clothing, shoes, etc. I love posting things that will make others laugh. It’s really just a little bit of everything. My purpose is to just bring a bit of happiness into the life of others. We struggle every day with stressing situations whether it is at work, or at home. Life can be very difficult, and I know that for a fact because of my own experiences. In my younger years, believe it or not, life has thrown many obstacles my way. But despite them all, I always try to live my day to day life as happy as possible. Some of my followers have asked me “How is it that you’re always happy?” Happiness is a mindset. Only you can control your moods. I don’t allow distressing situations in life to control my thoughts and attitude. So, my goal is to bring positivity and good vibes to my followers.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Yes! I would’ve started a lot earlier!
