Rubi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I go by RubiLeeNatural on Instagram, I started making YouTube videos in 2012 about natural hair and hair care products in order to share my tips as a lifetime naturalist.
Haitian black castor oil was one of the hair products I talked about on my channel and my viewers always expressed the difficulty they had in finding the real Haitian black castor oil in the U.S.
In order to get my hands on the authentic oil from my homeland, I would always have to ask a family member traveling to the U.S. to bring me a bottle.
In 2016, my family and I decided it was time to launch our own product in the market. We wanted to share with the world the amazing benefits of Haitian black castor oil.
After two years of planning, we launched Arin Edohr on January 1st, 2018.
Our mission is to empower people to incorporate natural ingredients into their beauty regimen.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a small business from scratch can be challenging. In the beginning, our main obstacle was funding. We had to work FT to fund our business, which ended up working out in our favor since we did not have to rely on a loan.
Please tell us about Arin Edohr – what should we know?
Besides being part of the managing team at Arin Edohr, I am a Compliance Officer in the financial industry. It has been rewarding to work in a field that I excel in and also use my years of experience in banking to manage Arin Edohr.
As a brand, I am most proud of the fast service we provide to our clients. I love receiving the feedback I get on a regular basis from clients telling us how much they love our product and how much hair growth they’re experiencing.
The rewarding part of a business is not the money but knowing that you ARE making a difference.
When you look back, what are you most proud of?
The proudest moment of my career thus far has been obtaining my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. This came in very handy when we launched Arin Edohr.
Earning my degree was only the beginning. I then obtained my certification in Anti Money Laundering. Through hard work, I was able to obtain a position in a field I am passionate about.
Seeing Arin Edohr come to fruition while working FT has been very rewarding.
The proudest moment for our company has been the global presence we have achieved, we have customers from all over the world ordering our product and telling us how much they love it! We have clients from Canada, UK, U.S. Israel, and much more.
I’ve learned that we can accomplish whatever we set our minds to with consistency, persistence, discipline, patience, and sacrifice.
