Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosie Camas.
Rosie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My passion for supporting breastfeeding mothers grew out of my own experience navigating the challenges of new motherhood. After having my first child, I faced unexpected difficulties with breastfeeding and quickly realized how overwhelming that time can be for new moms. With the support of a lactation consultant and encouragement from a local mom support group, I was able to work through those challenges and continue my breastfeeding journey. That experience had a lasting impact on me and ultimately inspired the path I’m on today.
I felt called to help other women navigate this important stage of motherhood. In my work, I often hear stories from mothers who didn’t receive the support they needed during such a vulnerable time. Because of that, I’m deeply passionate about providing education, guidance, and encouragement as women move through their own unique breastfeeding and lactation journeys. Supporting families during this stage of life is incredibly meaningful to me.
Health and wellness are another important part of my life. In my spare time, you’ll find me at training and coaching at our local gym. I enjoy encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones and discover both mental and physical strength, while embracing a more natural and holistic approach to wellness. Whether I’m helping a mother gain confidence in her breastfeeding journey or motivating someone in the gym, my goal is the same, to help others feel strong, supported, and empowered.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an RN and IBCLC who helps mothers feel confident in their breastfeeding journey, offering in-home prenatal classes and hands-on postpartum support tailored to their individual needs. My goal is to empower families with the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing a mother embrace her breastfeeding/lactation journey and share her story. It brings me joy to know her experience can inspire and empower other women to navigate their own unique lactation journeys with confidence and to witness meaningful transformations in people’s wellness journeys as well.
