Today we’d like to introduce you to Rose Andre.
Rose, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always had a passion for home decor. I did some DIY projects in my personal home and my friends and family encouraged me to start a decor blog. I created my @homewithrose Instagram page last year. I was able to get hired for my first project this year (painting and interior design consultation). Through that project, I met some very skilled contractors and gathered a team of skilled professionals to assist me with large projects.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has not been smooth. Money is often a challenge when investing in a business. Instagram is a great tool to advertise a brand; however having to manage every aspect of a company, even if it’s a small company is definitely not a small task. I’m so grateful for the internet for giving me access to resources like information on how to create a webpage, how to use Instagram to reach potential clients, and even allowing me to be able to reach a graphic designer within minutes. All of that has made this journey possible.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am an interior designer. I help clients create their dream space. Once I put together a design plan, I provide a team of general contractors for interior construction.
In a world of gray interiors, I encourage my clients to go for bolder designs that set their homes apart from the rest.
I work with all budgets. I offer alternatives to costly jobs (painting kitchen cabinets instead of replacing an entire kitchen. stenciling tiles instead of replacing the floor, etc.).
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
I’m grateful to experience my proudest moment every time I complete a project. It is the smile on my client’s face.
