Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosa Ore.
Rosa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Every day, I wake up and think… How blessed am I? I live just a few steps from the beach and the sun shines brightly right outside my window each morning. I’ve always wanted to live a peaceful life by the beach and now I’m actually doing it–all because I dared to take a risk and open up my own business.
After working for 25 years in the educational arena as an administrator, advisor and teacher, I felt it was time to take a step back and do what I love most. Ever since I can remember, my heart’s desire has been to help other women reach their full potential. My vision to reach and empower women became a reality when I decided to apply all of my acquired knowledge, skills and experience to start a YouTube channel called Latina Leaders Leaving a Legacy. I began implementing social media to teach women how to become outstanding leaders who leave a legacy for future generations.
As I continued to establish this YouTube channel, I began exploring and learning about the power of social media. I worked hard to develop new strategies and lessons using all the major platforms. I began using Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to present weekly videos and promote the channel to women across the U.S. Soon enough, I understood the true power of social media and began teaching other female entrepreneurs how to use it to their advantage, promoting and marketing their businesses.
Latina Leaders Leaving A Legacy ultimately led to the creation and founding of Global Rose Media, my social media marketing agency. I left my full-time job as an educator and dedicated all my time to building a company that empowers female entrepreneurs. This journey has been the most liberating and fulfilling experience of my life thus far. I am extremely fortunate to be serving my life’s purpose through my bold career change that consequently allows me to help other women grow and thrive. This journey has also led me to meet an amazing group of women called Latinas Power and become part of their community that supports fellow female entrepreneurs.
Has it been a smooth road?
I wish I could say it’s been a smooth road, but unfortunately, it has not. Having the courage to leave my job and pursue my dreams as an entrepreneur took a lot. I always knew that I wanted to help women, so I was constantly thinking of ways in which I could do so. Once I became more familiarized with the realm of social media, my eyes opened up to the endless possibilities surrounding me. I knew that it presented an opportunity to reach women around the globe with a positive message, so I decided to start implementing it however I could–but first, I had to overcome some fears of my own.
I tend to be an introvert, one who always avoids the spotlight. As I began considering that I’d have to get used to being in front of the camera, I started to panic. I almost backed out completely. I had to really dig deep and think about what exactly was preventing me from being comfortable in front of the camera. I recognized that certain childhood traumas had caused me to crawl into a shell, shielding me from the outside world. I was allowing fear and shame to hold me back. Finally, I did what I had to do. First, I prayed. Then, I got myself out of bed, put my makeup on, and began planning my first video for my Latinas Leaving a Legacy channel. I pushed myself and finally just got in front of the camera, beginning with short, simple videos. This taught me that in order to lead others, I needed to lead myself first. I needed to lead myself out of this mindset of fear and into success. So, I asked a friend to be in my videos with me to speak about leadership principles. We had so much fun throughout the process! Before I knew it, I was a natural. What I feared most had become my biggest strength.
My fear of public speaking became my fuel to empower others to become the absolute best version of themselves. As I inspired other women, I found healing within myself. Now, I work with many female entrepreneurs who love what they do–and my job is to help them get on camera to share their stories with the world. These women trust my authenticity and know that I am not trying to sway them into doing something that I, myself, am not doing. I have become their guide into a world of influence, opportunity, and growth, and I’m so happy to be a part of their journeys.
Please tell us about your business.
I am the proud owner of Global Rose Media–we specialize in social media marketing. I work with successful female business owners and entrepreneurs throughout the city of Miami. My company manages, promotes and markets their businesses through various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. I use these platforms to establish their brand as influencers and experts in their field of business. By using the right strategies and their brand’s authenticity, these women are able to reach their target audience and convert them into loyal customers.
I am known for making each of my clients feel unique. I remind them that with the right method, anything is possible. I love treating each client with love and appreciation for trusting me with their brand. It’s important for them to feel exclusive and for their brand to receive the utmost attention and the best possible service. I go above and beyond their expectations and deliver a product that truly represents and honors their brand.
I am proud to say that as a social media agency, Global Rose Media empowers local entrepreneurs and builds up their self-esteem to confidently tackle any goal. Many business owners lack the confidence to speak on camera to market their business; our job is to teach them to be authentic and to trust their own voice. People want to see authenticity, not generic stock photos of fake people.
I have the opportunity to work with many female business owners who have something beautiful to contribute to this world. By using just the right strategies, I am proud to help their brands grow and their teams expand.
I genuinely love what I do. I love empowering women to become astounding leaders and highly successful entrepreneurs. Whenever I help a women’s business thrive and succeed, I don’t see it as work–I see it as leaving a legacy. As female business owners, we face many obstacles and we need businesses like Global Rose Media who are truly invested in every client’s success. It’s very inspirational for me to empower remarkable women every day.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Technology is one of the top 5 industries that is fueling our economy. As we move towards a fully digital era, companies will continue to shift to using online platforms for conducting business and reaching their customers. I keep reading many articles that show that 1 million new people join social networks every day and by 2020 it is expected that 3 billion people will own a smartphone. In the next five to ten years, we will see technology and the internet move towards voice and image activated searches and commands.
This is exciting news for my company’s future and growth. As the technology industry continues to facilitate new ways of doing business, our company will continue to grow and evolve with the changes. Our goal is to stay at the forefront of these technological changes and pass on that knowledge to all our clients. We see a bright and prosperous future ahead of us.
