Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberta Gomes.
Roberta, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. My journey in the beauty industry began at an early age. I joined the beauty world by becoming a hair stylist. I was always very passionate about this industry and always researched a lot about it, always wanting to learn and grow. When my family and I moved here to the Florida, USA, I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to create RG Cosmetics, which opened its doors in 2009. We have had great success not only here in the USA but worldwide, especially in the Middle Eastern market.
I can’t forget to mention that besides all things hair and beauty, I live for God and my family, they are everything for me: my husband, kids (who are now adults but will always be kids to me), and dogs.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although I am not one to cry about the obstacles and tough times, I can’t deny it hasn’t always been easy. Being an entrepreneur is already a challenge, but being an entrepreneur while being a single-mother adds a little extra to it. Being away from my kids during my travels and having to sacrifice time with them was always hard to deal with. But we made it work and I am so proud to have most of my kids working with me and being so passionate about our vision as well.
RG COSMETICS – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
RG Cosmetics began in 2009 with a distinct goal: to develop a hair care line that would bring together years of industry knowledge with cutting-edge hair science. Now distributed worldwide, the RG Cosmetics product collection makes beautiful, healthy hair a reality for all hair types.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Every time I speak to a client or hear about how our products and treatments changed their lives, made them happier and really helped with their self-esteemed and loving themselves. Those are always the best highlights and moments I remember. This is why we work so hard, and to see the results and satisfaction of our clients is priceless.
