Meet Rebecca Wojtecki of Becca Lynn Fitness in Boca Raton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Wojtecki.

Rebecca, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Fitness began as a personal hobby. I started frequenting the gym in the summer of 2013. I had just moved to Boca Raton and got a job as a Spanish teacher. I realized that I really enjoyed working out in my free time. People would ask me what my workout regime consisted of and I regularly received compliments on my physique, even from complete strangers.

One day at work, I was asked to teach two different courses at the same time when another teacher left. This new arrangement doubled my workload but not my compensation. It was at this moment, I realized that I loved teaching, but I needed a new venue and thus, Becca Lynn Fitness was born.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No. There were definitely some major concerns. Teaching was not just my passion, it was my main source of income. When the thought of transitioning into a new career entered my mind, I asked my manager at Cabana El Rey (my second job) if I could pick up more shifts, he agreed.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Becca Lynn Fitness – what should we know?
As a professional and certified trainer, specializing in functional fitness and strength/endurance training. I make sure I design programs based on my client’s individual needs. Some clients come to me it the simple goal of regaining balance and mobility after years of inactivity and sedentariness, while others desire to develop aesthetically.

In whichever case, the teacher in me comes out and I take pride in helping improve the quality of life for my “students” who show their work, not on paper, but on their bodies. I take my client’s grocery shopping and educate them on nutrition and the mind/body connection.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I sure do! Cassie @bullets.and.bikins, who I met at the gym, quickly became one of my best friends and gym buddies. I send my condolences to anyone who has not been blessed with a friend like Cassie in their lives. She is as bold and genuine as they come. We became more like sisters, you know how that goes. Arguing and then, making up again. I learned so much from her when I first took an interest in fitness and still learn things from her today.

She helped me study for the ACE fitness test and was always down to workout. Always. You can never really appreciate someone enough, who is willing to meet you before 5 am to go running along A1A. I am grateful for those memories together. Cassie is not only a workout enthusiast, she is also an independent skincare consultant and certified scuba instructor who travels the world.

Another boss lady, Krissy @kriss_kross_designs taught me a lot about owning a business, including marketing strategies and keeping business records organized, especially during tax season. She has an interior design company of her own and is one of the most selfless and amazing women I know.

I would also like to mention Alina @alinapinedaphotography for being a huge support and great photographer and friend every step of the way. And of course, JC @ihpfit (The Institute of Human Performance). I am blessed to have this great facility to train my clients.
