Today we’d like to introduce you to Randa Quraan.
Randa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and born into a strict Palestinian home where women don’t have a say in how their future rolls out. I was always into speaking, being the loudest in the room, and dominating most conversations. Growing up, I wanted to become an attorney, so my journey to that began shortly after having my oldest daughter, Samyra. I never had much growing up, but my mother always made sure we had the necessities and did the best she could with the cards life dealt her. My father passed away when I was five years old, and she was a widow to eight children surviving off of Section 8 and welfare. She always made a way all while battling her demons.
At 19, I decided to leave home and run away from the cultural upbringing I had lived my entire life. I would not marry someone I didn’t know and didn’t care how rich they were. I had met my first love in East New York and became pregnant a year after I left home. One thing I was sure of is that I wanted to provide my daughter with the best life possible. Shortly after giving birth, I enrolled in college and received my Associates Degree in paralegal studies, and my first job was working for a law firm in Wall Street right after the world trade center tours were hit. I continued my career as a paralegal for about ten years and never pursued being an attorney because one thing I didn’t need so much of was stress and from what I have been experiencing over the past decade was all the attorneys I worked for were always so stressed out.
I had my second child at 26 and knew I wanted more for myself. New York was cold, and the legal field was just not satisfying me any longer. I knew it was time to make a move, and I decided that I was moving to Miami. I packed everything I could in my 1999 Honda Civic and had about $5,000 saved. My oldest was eight at the time, and my youngest was one year old. We drove for three days stopping at different hotels to rest. I had just enough to move into a home and decided that I would need to work for a law firm for at least a year before shifting into a different career.
I had gotten an opportunity to interview for at that time, one of the hottest clubs in South Beach, Club Play. I interviewed as an event assistant with Lia Ames and shortly after promoted to Head of PR for the club. My marketing career had taken off and worked for such an elite club opened me up to more opportunity, and that’s where it all began.
Let me be honest here. I failed many times. I hit rock bottom many times. I had been in a toxic relationship for years, and it started with home, but then continued in my relationship with my daughter’s father. You are what you attract, and I was a mess, so I was attracting all the wrong people and things even after seeing so much success.
Life isn’t measured by how successful you are, but by how much you truly love and honor yourself and others. For me, I never loved myself, and it showed in everything I was doing. About two years ago, I had my third daughter Leilani and had ended a fifteen-year toxic relationship. Here I was in a rut again, and this time not only did I end my relationship with my daughter’s father, but I was battling postpartum depression and tapped out of all my savings. I am sure you are asking yourself, but wait at this point you have been in the game for over 15 years, why are you struggling like this? I didn’t value and love myself, and that is the key to everything you are manifesting in your life.
How can I build other people and companies from the ground up when I wasn’t practicing what I was preaching. Here I was in this rut and not many options to get out of it, but one, me. It always starts with you. Heres what I knew, I am alive, I am breathing, my kids are fed, and we have so much more than many. I went into each day and had one goal in mind to do the absolute best I could each day and let me tell you the first day was not much, but each day it got better and better. I vowed to release all toxic behaviors from my life and working on wholly loving and honoring myself. That was and is always my ultimate goal. To fall in love with myself so deeply in the present no matter what! No matter what!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Socially Loud and An Empowered You – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I connect the dots. I have worked with brands such as Puma, Nike, Adidas, Angel Brinks, Cyn Santana, and others. Our niche is social media marketing and product launch events. What sets us apart is we are real, transparent, and organic with our approach. Building a brand takes time, and we become our clients brand. We go into each project as if it was our own. I am a very passionate person, so I take on brands I completely believe in. What I am most proud of is the process. It has opened my eyes to so much. I appreciate all the challenges and speed bumps because they have made the sharp businesswoman I am today.
What role has luck had in your life and business?
I don’t believe in good and bad luck. I believe that life gives you a deck of cards and how they unfold is up to you. If you are constantly viewing life negatively, you will attract negative. If you open your heart to each day and fill your words and space with positivity you will attract just that. I am not saying each day and each moment will be positive, but look for the greatness in everything. I have learned to appreciate it all as it has made me the strong person I am today.
