Today we’d like to introduce you to Ralph Raphael.

Ralph, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up in Brooklyn as a creative teen, I was always in search of a way to convey my ideas, emotions and a way let others see the world through my eyes. Although being fascinated by how people felt towards something or someone, I was always drawn to music, because it made me feel. As time went on, my fascination for others grew and grew and soon found myself wanted to document people and their emotions. In 2013, using a friend’s camera at the time, I discovered photography and it changed me. The way to capture emotions was finally there. A few years later, after working on this new found skill, I decided to make it into a career. Fast forward to today, I am a full-time wedding photographer. Truth is however, I do not only document things or photograph for today but more for the future, for I believe a photograph has the power to change a decision and to tell a story to the coming generation.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course, it has been smooth. Early on, in my career, I realize that I wanted to make this my life. What I wasn’t prepared for was running a business. If there is a complication to my line of work, that is it. I don’t always have the time to what I love which is to take pictures without a purpose but rather finding the purpose in the picture itself. you may say that doesn’t make much sense and you’d be right, however doing what I love without it feeling like a job is I recharge my creative batteries and increase my vision.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ralph Raphael Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I run a full-time wedding photography company. Specializing in wedding photos and albums. What I like most about my work is the ability to make lasting connections.

I often photograph the engagement, wedding, maternity, and family session. My extreme professionalism and energy are what sets me apart. A session with me isn’t just having pictures taken, it’s an experience.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck… I don’t believe in luck. I am however blessed, to say the least, I’m a firm believer in working hard pays off.
