Rachel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The concept of Where to Mommy was born three years ago. As an aunt to my two nieces, I was constantly looking for fun kids events in Miami. This would mean spending a ton of time checking multiple resources to find local kid’s activities and sometimes only hearing about cool events after they had happened. At the time, I just assumed that as the aunt, I wasn’t connected to this exclusive world where Miami’s moms were kept up-to-date on all of the great events happening for their kids. Fast forward to over a year ago, when I became a mommy myself, I realized that this “Mommy World” that I envisioned, didn’t actually exist. So Where to Mommy was born to be the one-stop resource for moms to discover all the great kids’ events happening in Miami. Today, Where to Mommy has grown into a community for new and seasoned moms to find fun things to do in Miami, as well as to find guidance and support on the roller coaster journey of motherhood.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Where to Mommy’s single biggest challenge is that every mom has a different need. Miami moms’ priorities are a product of a variety of factors: staying at home, working, relationship status, kids’ ages and the list goes on. While Where to Mommy started as a calendar of Miami kids events, we’re constantly striving to provide moms with even more resources to support the ups and downs of motherhood. At times, this can be incredibly challenging and it requires a lot of listening. We’re constantly seeking feedback to better understand the unique needs of our moms and evolving to make Where to Mommy the best curated parenting resource in Miami.

Where To Mommy is a community resource for moms with kids ages newborn to ten. Our website, Instagram account, and weekly newsletters help moms find local activities for kids, connect with other local moms, and discover useful information to raise happy and healthy kids. We curate monthly event calendars featuring a mix of mainstream and under-the-radar events happening in Miami. We also suggest kid-friendly restaurants and parks close to event locations, so moms can plan a full day of fun with their kids. Lastly, we work with developmental experts to educate moms about the benefits of participating in certain events recommended on our calendar. We’re incredibly proud that Where to Mommy has become a daily resource for Miami moms who want to take advantage of all the great activities Miami has to offer their little ones.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
One of the most rewarding parts of Where to Mommy for me has been connecting with local moms who make up Miami’s supportive community. There are so many moms in this city motivated to take advantage of every opportunity to raise well-rounded kids. Miami moms are smart, savvy and incredibly receptive to high quality experiences and products.
