PhD Painting was established in 2005 by Pedro as Pioto Painting in the state of Massachusetts. The focus of the company was to deliver exceptional painting services and guarantee customer satisfaction. What sets the company apart from other painting companies was Pedro’s attention to detail and ability to deliver the expected results on time. The company continued to grow throughout the years and in 2010 his son, who was pursuing his business degree at the time, took interest in the family business and started helping his father to implement changes that would help the company grow while still maintaining the same quality work that customers had come to expect.
In 2014, when his son acquired his degree in business administration, he decided to go into the family business and became the president of the company. The company name was changed to Pioto & Son Painting and the company was relocated to south Florida, where both father and son had decided would be their future home. With great effort and hard work, the company started gaining recognition for its quality work and within 2 years it gained an impressive customer base. The focus of the company is still the same as when it first started and its number one priority is customer satisfaction.
The only problem was that customers were having a hard time pronouncing Pioto & Son Painting, which is when Pedro Henrique Deliberais (the son) decided to change the company’s name to something simpler and easier to remember. Using his initials, he opted for a play on words and came up with PhD Painting. Considering the company is very knowledgeable in all painting services it seemed like a fitting name, since PhD is also the highest level of education one can acquire. Pedro also came up with the slogan “The doctors of painting” due to the play on words.
His goal is to continue to grow the company while still maintaining the same principles established by his father when the company was first founded.
Has it been a smooth road?
The number one struggle the company has faced during all this time was relocating from Massachusetts to Florida. It was like starting from zero all over again and took a lot of effort and hard work to establish the client base and recognition that the company had in the state of Massachusetts.
