Meet Padrica Davis of Trinity Omniscient Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Padrica Davis.

Hi Padrica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I had just had it with a normal 9to5 and one of my children was leaving high school and she is developmentally disabled. After high school, there was nothing for her to do. I was working part-time with an agency that served that particular population. The owner had asked me to sign up for a few certifications that I would need in order to continue to work for her.

I was in the last class and boy I was very happy to be done. I was so excited that I said it out loud in class and a young lady turned to me and said you have just acquired all the certifications to open your own business. I went home full of courage and enthusiasm to push my way upward. As I was gathering all the documents together, I had to have major surgery and recover.

I received my license a year later and I was then officially open for business. I was able to help my daughter get services started for her. She has really thrived. As for me, I opened Trinity Omniscient Care, Inc. The business has been open for twelve years and going strong. We serve developmental and physically disabled people on the treasure coast.

We provide personal support to add them to their homes with bathing, feeding, easy meal preparation, laundry, medication administration, etc. We provide Life Skills so they can go out in the community to enjoy themselves. We also provide respite care for those that are under the age of 22. My wonderful staff is just amazing through the good and bad times they never left me.

We are a family. We are proud to say that this year we started our retirement plan 401k, we have a car that the company uses if their car starts giving them problems to keep them able to go to work. We are continually growing and learning. We enjoy assisting our clients to be the best they can be. There is no other place or job for me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Dealing with challenges is difficult but we work through it.

We have just merged onto a new program to help us to be more efficient and it took time to get everyone added on and to teach them how to log in and log out plus do their notes within the new system but we did it and everyone is officially connected at this time.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Trinity Omniscient Care, Inc.?
What sets me from the rest is as a boss, and business owner you have to listen. I listen to my staff and if they come up with a better solution we go with it.

I have learned in business everyone is important. If you validate ppl they will stay. I let my staff know how much I appreciate them but most of all how much I love them.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Be determined and please don’t listen to the naysayers!
