Diaz & Cooper was born in April of 2000, when a husband and wife team of advertising professionals saw the need to streamline big-agency processes to deliver exceptional strategy, creativity and personal service.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The business’s 17-year journey was not always easy. For example, the real estate crisis was a big blow, as the agency lost almost 60% of its Client base in the mid-2000’s. It takes determination to weather economic crises such as the recession, and we had to evolve several times to stay ahead of technology and marketing trends.
What has not changed is our commitment to excellence and our focus on helping Clients reach their business goals.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Believe it or not, it was a memory of nearly drowning as a child. I was at the beach in Puerto Rico, where I lived until I was 10 – I must have been about 3-4 years old and I vividly remember being torn from my grandmother’s arms by a sudden undertow and going under, fighting to stay alive all the way. Obviously, the actual experience was not pleasant, but I remember how much love and attention was poured on me after I was rescued. And it made me pretty fearless. Next, to that experience, most ‘scary’ situations pale in comparison.
