Meet Olivia Figueroa of LivFitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Figueroa.

Olivia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My ballet background is my foundation and is what lead me to my passion for fitness and health. Being a dancer taught me the importance of form and lines, and the life-long discipline needed to maintain my physique. From a young age, I knew I wanted to use my passion to inspire others. Those fundamentals serve as the root of my training style today. I am so grateful that I have built a business by helping people all over become the best version of themselves.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of my favorite quotes is “Nothing worth having comes easy”. Like most people, I have had my fair share of struggles in my personal life and while building my business. Being an entrepreneur and starting my business while in college meant making sacrifices and lots of hard work. There were times when I had to be courageous and believe in myself, even when I struggled with self-doubt. But even on the hard days with long hours, I was passionate about my work and knew that I couldn’t give up.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about LivFitness – what should we know?
Based in Palm Beach and serving clients in Miami, New York, Boston, Houston, and parts of Europe, LivFitness is all about helping people worldwide become the best version of themselves. I help my clients create daily healthy habits which lead to a better lifestyle. I strongly believe that health and fitness is a mindset from the moment you wake up. It can start with a small change like moving 30 minutes each day or consuming more vegetables each week. I am most known for my lower body workouts which really pack a punch. I believe that using weights and strength training exercises in addition to barre-style workouts is crucial to building a strong and lean physique. Associating weight training for women with “bulking” is a horrible (but common) misconception that couldn’t be further from the truth. I believe that my dance background sets me apart from other methods because I teach the importance of discipline, correct form, and mind-body connection. I offer personal training (one-on-one) in a gym setting, in-home, or virtually. I also have an online training membership portal with a huge library of on-demand workouts to follow. Along with the online workouts, my portal includes tons of nutrition advice, recipes, and all of my meal plans. I believe that with a strong workout routine and a balanced diet, anyone can achieve great results.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I am happy to say that a few of my first clients many years ago are people I still train today. I am forever grateful for those who chose to work with me even though I was a young trainer in the industry. I also see a therapist, Sarah Gentry, who has helped me over the last year in ways I never thought were possible. I grew up surrounded by a lot of negativity and I’ve had to work hard on seeing things differently in order to be a successful business owner. During times of doubt, stress, and fear, she has helped me grow professionally and personally.
