Meet Nathan Delinois of Nate Dee Art & Creations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Delinois.

Nathan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always done art since I was a child. After a lot of soul-searching in my college year I was finally led back to my passion when I realized there’s nothing else that made me as content/happy so after multiple majors, I finally end up majoring in the arts.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Art is similar to any other field where you are working for yourself. Lots of ppl think that doing what you love makes it easy, but that’s wholly untrue…There is so much that goes into it…you’re constantly thinking about your craft, honing your craft, working professionally to support the personal projects, and methodically figuring out ways to grow your career.

It takes you to the most unpredictable places and provides the most amazing experiences…but at the time it can stress you out unlike anything else.

It’s much easier doing a 9 to 5 working for someone…but the satisfaction can’t compare.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am an artist/muralist based out of Miami and pushing paint in as many locations as I can across this fine planet. I also do custom/commissioned artwork. I specialize in murals using a mix of spray paint and exterior paint. And a majority of my imagery is figurative.

What were you like growing up?
I always loved art growing up.. throughout all levels of school I was known as that art kid. I customized other students school accessories, did drawing for them, and on many occasions rolled with my graf friends to do a character on the walls they were throwing their letters on.

I was kind of like a sponge anything I saw that I loved (especially visually) I tried to take it in and figure it out….. like how were they able to do that.., I wonder if I could do that, etc.

Nate! I’m saving up for my commissioned piece when I get my warehouse space. Love your work and I’ll always remember our convo when you said you were going to dedicate a year to pushing as hard as you can! It worked and is working! Keep it up 🙂
