Today we’d like to introduce you to Mindy Kim.
Mindy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I used to have bad acne for 7 years. I tried everything possibly I could, including Accutane.
Finally I started getting facials and my skin was finally improving. I learned so much from different estheticians in South Korea.
Their techniques for extraction and facials are amazingly effective. Eventually I healed my own skin with facials and I have beautiful and healthy skin now.
When I started working at a spa in the US, I realized people here are not educated in how to take care of their skin unless they get skin cancer and have to see a dermatologist. However, I believe everyone needs to take care of their skin so they can prevent the appearance of aging as well as eliminate acne and lot more skin issues.
There are simple steps that you can even do at home and that could improve anyone’s skin 90% of the way.
I was on a mission to educate my clients on how to take care of their skin.
A lot of clients didn’t believe how important “getting a facial” was because what they have experienced before is paying lot of money and ending up only getting a lot of creams rubbed on their face and then, the next day, they don’t see any difference on their skin.
They still have pimples left on their skin and just feel greasy from all the creams.
I wanted to understand what skincare was like in the US, so I started to try facials here and in Latin America and I was always disappointed that they only offer facials that anyone could have done at their home with creams.
I was wondering what the point was of paying all that money.
I decided at that point that I would only offer facials that you cannot do at home by yourself or get anywhere else in the USA.
Such as real extraction with the Korean method, combined with peel off mask, using special professional-grade products and technologies.
So I started Mindykim Skincare to bring people real results.
The results that they’ve always wanted for their skin.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I started Mindykim Skincare on January 1st, 2017. And granted, starting any business is not easy. There was plenty of work that needed to be done to set up, to get my name out there, to attract clients.
However, all things considered, I feel like I’ve been immensely blessed in my journey with Mindykim Skincare so far. Wonderful, amazing clients have found me and I’m grateful to say that they’ve been so happy with their results, they keep coming back and telling their friends to come.
So while I can’t say the job doesn’t have its stresses and challenges, I am incredibly thankful for how fortunate I am that the business is doing so well with only a year and a half of being in business.

In my business, I bring a very different kind of skincare to Miami and the US. The skincare in South Korea is decades ahead of where the US skincare is, and there’s no reason people here in America shouldn’t get to enjoy the very best skincare possible, too.
So I bring the best products and techniques to what my skincare practice. It’s my mission to bring the people here true, cutting-edge technology, methods and solutions used by the very best in the world.
I specialize in deep extraction facials, acne facials and anti-aging facials, using my knowledge of how skincare is done in South Korea as well as having been doing this for over a decade.
The truth is, though, that the only thing that clients really care about is the results they get personally. So more than anything else, I specialize in getting people the results they really want for their skin, to have the best skin of their life.
