Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Ledezma.
Melissa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have been traveling since the age of five. Being so young and going to so many different places at that age, really opened my mind and taught me so many things I could never learn in school. Through my travels, I came across several different cultures that in turn, gave way to my love of design.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
DEFINITELY NOT! The design world is pretty extensive and takes a certain kind of discipline. Being a blogger, interior designer, grad student in architecture and currently, my sisters maid of honor is a lot to juggle!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about underthe.palmtree – what should we know?
My blog, underthe.palmtree is my outlet for anything design. Fashion, lifestyle, interiors and inspiration are some of the many things you can find there. I am currently working on my designed interiors and events company, so stay tuned!
One of the the most important things in my opinion that really sets me apart, is my love for my hometown. Miami is such a unique city and I love to bring that out in my content.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
OH MY! This is such a huge part of all my victories. I have the most immense support group! I don’t think I have the space to really single them out and thank them all, but my friends and family have really been my pillars. I would however, like to mention the fantastic partnership with Ted Baker and their beyond amazing team, with whom I would have never been able to get this far!
