Today we’d like to introduce you to Maya Booth.
Maya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started Under Blue Waters after I graduated college with a degree in Environmental Education. I became a SCUBA instructor and camp counselor in the islands where my passion for connecting kids to the ocean in a fun and adventurous way grew. After moving back to the states, I knew I wanted to continue educating kids about our oceans in a fun and exciting way, a way I couldn’t find anywhere around South Florida, a place FULL OF BEAUTIFUL miracles.! How was that possible??? So, I created one! As I was working full time as a SCUBA charter captain, I created Under Blue Waters, an adventure and FUN place for kids to love and connect with the ocean!
Has it been a smooth road?
Honestly, I think it has been a smooth road. It’s my passion, it just comes to me… we always have obstacles, we overcome them all the time… because… we have passion and WE ARE FUN!!!

We have a variety of programs:
– 3 Camps (Ocean Adventure Camp, Island Adventure Camp, Surf Camp Adventures)
– Field Trips ( Ocean Adventure – campers come to us & Marine Science Adventure – we come to the site)
– Family Adventure Days (take the family fishing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, sailing and more)
– Saturday Kids Ocean Camp Days (weekend camp)
– JR. Marine Biology Nights
– Afterschool Marine Biology Clubs
– Swim Lessons
– Watersports private lessons
– Parties
We have three camp location in South Florida, Ocean Adventure Camp in Boca Raton, Island Adventure Camp in Palm Beach and our newest camp, Surf Camp Adventures in Delray Beach. All three camps are ocean-focused but offer different strengths.
Ocean Adventure Camp – Boca Raton – all watersports including snorkeling, boogie boarding, skim boarding, paddle boarding, surfing, sailing, fishing, discover scuba, and more… with a touch of marine biology.
Island Adventure Camp – Hands-on Marine Biology and Island Exploration with watersports in snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, SCUBA.
Surf Camp Adventures – Delray Beach – Instruction in surfing, paddleboarding, skimboarding, and ocean awareness, safety including lifeguarding skills.
We specializing in connecting kids with the ocean in a fun and adventures way!
