Thanks for sharing your story with us Marquella. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I found photography in a 101 class in college and fell in love. I started as a hobby then I lost my job and it saved my life.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. I have failed so many times. I’ve tried types of photography and failed such as newborns, real estate, and video. I found I loved toddlers during cake smash sessions, maternity sessions and I ventured into weddings and engagements. Some struggles have been everything from breaking $1700 lens on set, zero booked mini sessions and a wedding canceled one week before with my airline tickets booked without the suggested insurance.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the MS Visuals and Photos story. Tell us more about the business.
Ms Visuals and Photos is a well rounded company. I shoot almost everything. I love creating memories. Some of my favorite things to shoot are cake smash sessions, and maternity sessions.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
it’s hard to say because the photography industry is so wide I honestly see a lot of people being able to create freely and be able to make a living.
