Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria E Gonzalez.

Maria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Everything starts in 1999 when my husband passed away and I was so depressed. It was just my 3 years old son and I, I didn’t know what to do to support ourselves.Thankfully my friends at Great impressions printing invited me to work with them to see if I liked the business with the option to buy it and surprisingly I loved it. So I decided to take a leap of faith and bought the business. Since the first day, every day is a different day and has been a tremendous learning curve. I have always loved sales and customer service, although I had limited knowledge in regards to this industry dedication and hard work has led me to where I am today.

Luckily, I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of honest and good people that have helped me along the way. For my 40th birthday, God sent me another big present my lovely husband Jorge.I was starting to lose hope and felt defeated with the new technology taking over the business, fortunately, he was like a breath of fresh air. He brought lots of innovative ideas to continue to grow the business, and help expand the horizon. For example, we bought our first digital printer and we converted all the old presses to digital. We are excited to be opening a website to sell all our products such as business cards with various templates, invitations for all occasions and invoices Our goal is to provide more jobs to the community, grow professionally, and ultimately give outstanding customer service. I feel very proud to be Hispanic with a successful business; I truly have found my American Dream.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a woman by herself in a business that has led by men. Hispanic woman with English as a second language. Like everybody knows our economic in the USA has been up and down and I had survived these downs.

Technology has grown so fast that it has been difficult to maintain in the game.

Great Impressions Printing has been conducting successful business since 1994 around the Palm Beach County. During this time we have served successfully 6 surrounding counties in the State of Florida and now we are expanding our territories out of state.
