Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Campos MD.
Maria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a physician from Cuba that started working with Dermatologists upon my arrival to the U.S. Skin became my passion, and after becoming certified as a doctor in this country and working in several hospitals, I decided to follow my dreams and became certified by The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Later on, Dr. Campos Wellness and Aesthetics opened its doors to provide skin care and aesthetic improvement to men and women of all ages.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a bumpy road due to the financial struggles and the strong competition in a city like Miami where there are high standards for beauty and aesthetic looks. Our approach is a little different because we combine a relaxed environment that looks like a MedSpa but is also backed up with a medical background and a taste for natural and elegant looks. We try to preserve and enhance patients natural beauty.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Dr. Campos Wellness and Aesthetics Center – what should we know?
We offer medical aesthetic treatments including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Dermal fillers, hair restoration, PRP facials, liquid facelifts and micro needling with PRP.
We are delighted to carry HydraFacial, a machine that adapts perfectly to the speed of our days providing a fast and effective treatment to keep the skin hydrated, clean and fresh. We also count with an amazing Facialist with many years of experience that provides facials enhanced with massages as well as masks that go from Chocolate and Lavender to 24K Gold.
Our massage therapist provides lymphatic drainage and lymphatic massages, hot stone, deep tissue, and other modalities and we offer the possibility of having couples massages in our facility. We also provide LED Therapy, hair threading, microblading, and eyelashes extension among other services.
What are your plans for the future?
We are now expanding our facility and preparing a bigger area for massages and facials
In the near future, we are introducing collagen threads and laser therapy for hair removal and skin resurfacing.
