Glen Levine and I became partners and started the law firm in 2005. We initially rented offices from his father who owned a construction company and had some unused space here in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Has it been a smooth road?
We were fortunate since we both had success prior to forming the law firm. But as in any startup, cash flow was a problem. Personal Injury cases can take anywhere from six months to more than three years to resolve. Striking the balance between investing in the company with more employees and/or advertising versus ensuring we were properly capitalized was the biggest struggle in the beginning stages of our firm.

A lot of law firms either focus just on the pre-litigation aspect of the case or in the alternative the litigation aspect of the case. At the Law Office of Anidjar & Levine, we handle your case from start to finish, which sets us apart from most of the law firms in the area. We also have expanded into other areas of law, which blend other areas of expertise into our analysis of your case.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Fort Lauderdale is probably the best place to start a business. You have an endless supply of a well-educated workforce to rely on for not only your own company but for potential business-to-business referrals. The city is well run, organized and provides amazing social services. The growth and the ever-evolving landscape is a testament to how well the city is run.
Pricing:
- Practicing personal injury law requires that you work on what’s called the contingency fee contract. It means that you are paid a percentage of the settlement upon conclusion of the case. Typically this will range from 33 1/3% to 40% should the case enter into a formal lawsuit. We do practice other areas of law that are fee-based such as bankruptcy, family law, contract law and criminal defense. Fees are based on an hourly rate and the attorney’s experience, which typically can be from $250-450 per hour.
