So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After having our first son, Chase in 2016, our life quickly changed. He was born premature at 34 weeks and spent some time in the NICU. Besides the normal nervousness of being a first-time mom, I now had to care for my delicate little 5-lb. baby boy. After learning of all the risks that premature newborns are prone to, I really started re-thinking our home and all of the products he was being exposed to.
I started doing my research to find ways to begin using naturally derived products on a daily basis. I sat down for a whole day, took every single one of our household cleaners and experimented, googled and studied how I could replace them with healthier homemade recipes. That quickly lead to me replacing my personal products as well as beginning to discover the benefits of aromatherapy. Once, I was completely emerged and dedicated to living a more natural life, I noticed that the products I was buying to help me on my journey were not always what I hoped they would be.
I was a new mom, out of work, and didn’t have the resources to spend a fortune on oil kits or other items that I had no idea how to use. I had countless experiences with products I had ordered either taking MONTHS to be delivered or when it did arrive, was not the quality I expected. I started getting more and more upset about all this money I had spent and the lack of confidence I had in these products. This sparked the idea of Naturally Made Essentials. A place where others can find affordable, quality products and resources to guide them on their journey to natural living while providing the best possible customer service.
Fast forward over a year later and we are now a full-time family run business. My husband is my partner in life, and in business, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Chase is thriving and we are helping people! We are dedicated to creating a customer service environment that anyone feels comfortable to call us, ask questions, and let us know if they need anything.
We want to empower our customers to say no to harmful ingredients and toxic chemicals in your daily routine and give them the resources and alternatives to make it easy!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Fortunately, it has not been a smooth road. There have been many challenges and learning curves that have come up over the past year. Learning how to manage inventory, fulfillment and customer service, while raising a little one has its challenges. I have learned to trust in my abilities and my faith has grown deeper. Many of my customers have become like family to me and I have heard so many stories of how my products have impacted their lives. This is definitely driving my ambition to reach as many people as I can and do whatever I can to leave a positive impact on society.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Naturally Made Essentials – what should we know?
We are an e-commerce company focused on helping others begin or continue their journey to natural living with essential oils. We are dedicated to providing the informational resources needed along with an affordable product to help one on their journey. I am most proud of the people I have had the honor to meet that put their trust in us. I would never imagine the impact that we have in some of our customer’s lives. Some of them depend on essential oils for healing! I believe that wanting to connect with our customers and provide them with the best of the best customer service sets us apart from others-especially being all online!

My husband has been my biggest supporter. He always pushes me to be a better person and never stop until I find my calling. My biggest motivation is my son who is the center of my life. I started the business in an effort to help protect him from the harmful chemicals that are usually contained in household cleaners and it turned into a passion of sharing it with as many people as possible.
