Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristy and Vic Arias.
Kristy and Vic, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Never in a million years did we think we would be a husband and wife wedding photography team. Vic had a regular point and shoot camera for many years and really never even had photography in mind. But his small camera fell in a glass of coke and thankfully he had a warranty on it. He took that opportunity to buy a very basic DSLR camera to take pictures of family and little did he know that would fall in love with photography. A few years later we married in March of 2012 and Kristy didn’t want to spend weekends alone, so she tried her hand at a camera.
She fell in love with photography as well, and a few months later we shot our first wedding together in December of 2012. At the beginning of 2013, we incorporated and officially became Kristy & Vic Photography. Through tons of networking and marketing, we’ve built their business and we are so happy to be able to work together doing something they love. We now specialize in weddings and serve all of the South Florida area and beyond.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been many obstacles and challenges throughout this process and it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. The biggest struggle was definitely at the beginning of our business. Getting our name out there and making connections was one of the greatest struggles we faced at the beginning of our business. We wanted to be known in our area and we struggled to network and find clients to book us.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Kristy & Vic Photography – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a husband and wife wedding photography team. We specialize in weddings and capturing our couples as they promise forever to each other. We are known for our natural-light photography that captures the joy and love between them. We pride ourselves in being very personal with our clients and really getting to know them and developing a relationship with them.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We plan to continue to expand our business and working on booking more weddings. We recently moved to Port St. Lucie, and while we don’t live in Miami anymore, we are still shooting and booking weddings in that area. We now expanded our reach to include Orlando, so we are working on booking more weddings in Central Florida as well.
