Today we’d like to introduce you to Kobi Karp.
Kobi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have spent over two decades providing unique, creative and innovative design solutions to clients through planning, architecture and interior design services – from luxury mansions to condominium projects to hospitality and historic preservation initiatives. The secret to my success is simple. I am a hard worker, a good listener and always stay aware of the needs of the people and community around me. I have also been fortunate enough to have two strong women in my life who have supported and pushed me to keep going – my mom and my wife.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In general, it’s been a pretty smooth road. My biggest challenges are the daily trials and tribulations that consistently push my limits. From a design and creativity standpoint, the biggest hardships I’ve encountered have been from the ongoing restrictions of municipality limits. Additionally, it is always difficult to get new structures approved on historic landmarks – especially when they are on the ocean or in flood zone areas. The challenge lies in maneuvering strict preservation requirements and city and state code regulations to still create something innovative and beautiful that will also meet the client’s needs.

At Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design, Inc., we are dedicated to constantly raising the bar of creativity and design to new levels. Our design and dynamic is constantly improving and evolving, resulting in relevant and innovative projects. I am very proud of the brand recognition we have achieved and how our brand has become renowned for high quality, aesthetic creativity and enduring style. I love when I meet someone who lives in one of the projects or homes I designed. Hearing their positive feedback – that is the biggest source of professional satisfaction for me.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
You can say I’ve had the luck of being in the right place at the right time, but honestly without the hard work, that means nothing.
