Today we’d like to introduce you to Karolina Mantilla.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Three years ago, I came to Miami from Venezuela, after having to give up my career as a lawyer, distancing myself from my family and starting again like so many Venezuelans.
I decided to reinvent myself and take the way of fashion and beauty that I love so much, take fashion styling classes, and at the same time beauty and skincare.
I have worked with public figures and the artistic medium in their fashion stylist either for events, music videos, photo sessions, I have had the opportunity to go to important channels such as Telemundo and bring seasonal fashion proposals.
I currently have my own beauty studio, with my own line of aftercare for the care, eyebrows, and eyelashes, where I combine fashion since many of my clients prepare the outfits for their events.
I have worked very hard and I have been very consistent, but I am satisfied with the things that I have achieved so far and for the wonderful things that hard work and dedication will always bring good results.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The fights have been the language, although, in Miami, there is a lot of Spanish speaking, if you have the focus, you know you have to learn English, leave aside your career and start a new career, and the most important thing is the strong separation from your family.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
My Christmas, I think they were very happy, the smell of Christmas food, gather together as a family, decorate the tree, place the birth and believe in El Niño Jesus!
