Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, luxury fashion and lifestyle store En Avance, a pioneer in Miami’s Design District founded by Karen, is hosting the first Maison Francis Kurkdjian store-within-a-store in the United States. The new collaborative concept is located in Paradise Plaza in the Miami Design District, a neighborhood dedicated to innovative fashion, design, and architecture.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been challenging over the years with the ever-changing landscape of Miami constantly changing. I moved to the Design District in 2006 and ever since the beginning I have had never ending construction surrounding me, something that is inevitable as the neighborhood to continues to grow.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with En Avance – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
En Avance has always been a platform to showcase young new talent from across the globe. We are a lifestyle boutique not only featuring edgy, sophisticated designers but also exclusively carrying the most prolific decorative artist of the twentieth century, Fornasetti. Being the first multi-brand boutique to come to the Design District in 2006, En Avance continues to be a destination for everything from chic casual everyday pieces, to cocktail attire including a great selection of hostess gifts, gifts for him with books, men’s accessories and more.

Miami is the best place to call home. I love the stress free lifestyle, the beaches, and the sunshine.
What I like least about Miami is hurricane season.
