Meet Julieta Vallejos of I’m The Flower Girl in South Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julieta Vallejos.

Julieta, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have been obsessed with flowers since I was a little girl. I was the flower girl at my cousin’s wedding in the early 90’s, it was there where I noticed that flowers set the tone for a wedding. From the little petals thrown on the floor, to the brides dramatic bouquet and the centerpieces- flowers add magic! They inspire beauty and romance. I love events and I love making them beautiful. Making florals are not only therapeutic to me but they are motivating, to find the beauty in all the details.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting out was not difficult. I have been inspired by a lot of friends and family to do more with florals and events. I have been very fortunate to get business by referral of friends and family but I would love to have more opportunities outside my close network. To me, events and meeting the aesthetics of the vision of the client has is the beauty of it all. There is nothing like making a client’s dream come to life.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I like to see my business as an aesthetic event design company. Although my flowers put me on the map, but I don’t just do florals. I help anyone who has any event make it beautiful seamless and successful. I am most proud of my company because it’s my own and I started it because I wanted to share my creative mind with others.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me, success is just setting your mind and putting your whole heart into something and sticking to it. It is when you push to pursue the power of your own dreams and then they come to life. It’s not an amount of money in your bank account or the car you drive – it’s all about the application to finding your purpose and accomplishing your goals.
