Meet Jessica Morgan of Plush Minks in North Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Morgan.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, I started almost three years ago (in March makes three years to be exact.) I’ve always had a thing for lashes since high school (because my eyes are so big and noticeable). When I first started, I was working at a call canter and would do mink extensions from my living room when I got home from work. I started missing too many days lol (due to lashing) and they fired my behind lol. I didn’t complain. I literally thanked God because I wanted to work full time lashing anyways.

I told myself I wasn’t working for another soul and here I am three years later still going strong. I’ve have taken numerous of lash courses. Went to esthetician school to get my license, and also became one of Miami’s Top 3D Mink lash strip distributor. All within three years.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Omg, it has not. Being an entrepreneur is not as easy as some people make it seems. It’s been a lot of crying days and nights. Lot of days of self-doubt, losing faith, wanting to quit and etc. When you come from a city of hype, it’s even harder. People will follow hype before actual talent and that makes it even harder. But in all, I just try to remain as true to God as I know how. I always try to be grateful for everything. Even the struggles because those are lessons taught and I always try to remind myself things could be so much worse.

Plush Minks – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a mink lash tech/esthetician. I specialize in one on one application for mink eyelash extensions. Including volume lashes as well. I also provide Deep Cleaning facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning and more. What sets me apart from others is that I take pride in my work and I’m very time considerate when it comes to my business .97 percent of the time. Your appt will start and end on time. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I’ve recently was able to put my Plush 3D Mink Strips in a beauty supply store in North Miami. I was so psyched and grateful for that opportunity.
