Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Lurie.
Jessica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always loved two things… working out and fashion. I was asked to do the buying the Green Monkey yoga studio and it quickly became something I loved. After having my first child, I thought why not do something on my own and thus came Flying Lizard. Athleisure wear spoke to me as there is nothing like a new pair of leggings.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road but we seem to have something going right! The summers here are a little slower but the winter months make up for it.
Flying Lizard boutique – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
What I am most proud of is having something fun and different. Not your same old black boring leggings. I like to think that you can find your true personality within the leggings in my store. We have something for everyone.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I have a few but I am most proud when I can give back to certain charities and raise money for them. We just did an amazing event which we donated a portion of proceeds to Nicklaus children’s hospital.
