Meet Jessica Levy Kiibler of Levy Public Relations & Events in Midtown Miami, Edgewater

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Levy Kiibler.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jessica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.

In 2000, I worked in New York for a large corporate publishing group after graduating from Florida State University. I think this really guided me into a corporate world and helped secure my values in the workplace. About a year and a half after working in New York, I moved to South Florida. There I continued in the publishing industry, largely working with real estate clients. This was my first experience with real estate clients and the rest was history. I made the decision to move on and join an agency in 2003. While working at this agency, I helped grow the company and create lasting partnerships with others in the media and in business. I started my own agency in May 2010.

Opening my own company seemed like the best choice to further my career and implement what I had learned throughout the years. I thought by having my own business I would have more time on my hands, however I quickly learned the opposite. I worked endless hours, weekends and late nights but I love what I do.

I started the business out of my parent’s office, Levy Advertising, in Doral. They specialize in promotional advertising products. My sister and now managing partner, Rachel Levy Chackman, joined the company in September 2010 as an intern. Without her dedication throughout the years, we would not be here.

We are now 13 employees. We offer social media, PR, in-depth marketing strategies, and events. We currently have over 35 clients and continue to represent clients including luxury products, real estate, fashion, sports, hospitality, celebrity, and restaurants. I am most proud of the team we have created. We have an amazing group of 13 women all dedicated, trustworthy, hardworking and I love them all. We are a family. It was the way we envisioned the business to be from because we came from a family-owned business environment. There were definitely a few hurdles, but now I could not ask for a better support team.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

With any business there are always challenges. Throughout the years we have had some growing pains, but quickly figured them out. We still use those times as lessons and do not make the same mistake twice.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Levy Public Relations & Events – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

What sets us apart from other companies is our strategic planning in our PR efforts. We also provide each team within the company with a support staff so clients are getting the maximum results. Additionally, we have an in-house Latin American division which we have offered since day one of the business. It’s extremely valuable to secure press throughout all countries in Central and South America, especially in this market.

I am very proud of our wellness program and charitable component we have added to the company this past year. Our charity arm is called Levy Loves and once a month we do something to give back to the community as a group. We have worked with organizations such as Little Lighthouse Foundation, Chapman Partnership, Camillus House and The Orphaned Starfish Foundation offering our time and support.

In our wellness program, we offer a monthly yoga for the team, a monthly massage in the office, variety of healthy snacks and tea, motivational and inspirational quotes. Birthdays are now considered holidays and we reward hard work with employee appreciation gifts and more.

What were you like growing up?

I grew up in Miami on Miami Beach and attended Archbishop Curley Notre Dame. In high school, I played volleyball and developed the most amazing friendships. My friends from high school are all still my best friends today. From the age of 15, I worked. I always wanted my own independence. I first worked at Big Pink as a hostess, then moved around to the different restaurants owned by Myles Chefetz and at that time, Michael Schwartz.

I graduated college a year early (kind of regret that now). I really wanted to live in New York, so I got through college quickly to get there. I have always set some large goals for myself and do my best to tackle them. I am very loyal to my family, my friends and my staff. I love helping others in any way that I can. I truly believe giving back is how we pay it forward.

Today, I am a mother of three and they are truly the loves of my life. Each day I learn something new from them, they are amazing.
