Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenna Levine.
Jenna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 1995 I visited Florida and decided to start a new life, leaving my home country Dom. Rep and relocating to Weston, Florida with my son Phil. I worked numerous jobs while I educated myself, got certified and received my State License as a Cosmetologist. I started my career in 1999 and spent numerous years working as a Hair Stylist at local Salons and Spas. Simultaneously I started a career as Trainer/Educator for Alfaparf Milano, one of the World’s most famous brands. I have trained and continue to educate Salons and Cosmetology Schools in the State of Florida. During my last 15 years at Alfaparf Milano, I earned the title of Master Colorist. In 2014 I decided to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams and started Headmaster Holistic Hair Salon. We specialized exclusively on Hair Services. Our eco-conscious, organic products embodies a holistic approach.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing smooth about it, we struggled while I worked two jobs to make ends meet. My son was nine and juggling family and work while putting food on the table was certainly not what I would call smooth sailing. It was very rocky for numerous years, but Thanks to God and determination, I started to see the light and the end of the tunnel and doors starting opening up. Receiving my Cosmetology degree was the key that has open up these doors that Thanks the Lord remain open to these days.
Please tell us about your work.
I am most proud of my independence and calling my own shots. At Headmaster Holistic Hair Salon, we specialized in all types of Hair services and products, such as but not limited to; Master Colorist, Balayage, Hair Cuts and numerous types of Hair treatments. All our products are organic and eco-conscious, our focus is not only your hair; it is the holistic you, the body and mind. Well, know amongst the Salons as Educator/Trainer for Alfaparf Milano, which I represent and continue to train on a limited basis. I believe what sets me apart is not only my skills as a Cosmetologist and well rounded experience. It is the manner and approach I have with my clients. My clients trust me with their hair; however, I believe they trust me more as a friend, understanding and caring and always while focusing on the holistic approach. I am a great listener and work strictly by appointments. I work in a private salon and provide highly personalized service.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Harvesting the Vegetables, Fruits and Coffee from our family farm with my Grandmother. Listening to my Grandmother’s wise tales and sharing many family times together.
