Meet Ivan Mladenovic of Preemo in Pinecrest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivan Mladenovic.

Ivan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Preemo in my kitchen in 2009, after I lost my job working for a failed investments company. It started as a retail concept, helping my friends and family with their computer needs. Over the past 8 years, it has evolved into a primarily B2B business, supporting the IT needs of businesses in South Florida with 10-200 employees. Our team is comprised of 12 certified engineers with 100+ years of combined technical expertise. Our goal is to deliver an exception service offering, like any IT company, but with a human touch. We spend time to learn about our clients’ business, and help them leverage technology as a business asset.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No business worth growing is smooth. We’ve had bumps just like any other. Our market is very saturated, and we compete with 3000+ other businesses like our, but not always with the same features.

Our largest hurdle was converting from a consumer driven business, to more of a business focused. We changed the name of our retail shop to TechBar, and completely rebranded that side of the business, to differentiate it from Preemo, the IT Company.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Preemo – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We provide enterprise-grade IT Solutions to small-medium sized businesses, with 10-200 employees. Managed IT Services is our core offering, which is an unlimited, proactive, monthly IT Support contract.

We also offer cloud options for our clients, backup & disaster recovery, and security offerings. We focus on professional services businesses, like law firms, financial services companies, private equity, as well as construction and distribution companies. We specialize in high-risk IT clients, or companies that need a more concierge-level approach to dealing with technology.

We’re most proud of our track record, as we’ve old had to end relationship with a few clients over our 8 years in business. We’ve developed strong, quality relationships with our clients to ensure their technology is running at all time.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our growth plan is ambitious. Besides organically growing the business at 15-20%, it’s our goal to acquire 2-3 IT Companies in the next couple years. This roll-up strategy we developed will allow us to acquire not only revenue for our growth, but also key resources for our team in both technical and sales roles. Our goal is to double the business in 2 years.
