Today we’d like to introduce you to Itzel Alvarez.
Itzel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been involved in visual arts since I can remember. Having a passion for video and photography I started working in the field over 10 years ago. One of those jobs was at Santa Barbara photo studio where I got involved with social event photography and I really like it. Then the opportunity came along to mix creativity and technology when I acquire Yolo Photos on 2014.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of the struggles I have to face where time and money. Working a full-time job and a part-time job was very demanding, and time consuming. I was working none stop every day of week, then when I acquire Yolo Photos the workload grew even more, I left my part-time job to focus on Yolo Photos. two years later I left my full-time job to dedicate my full attention to my business.
Please tell us about Yolo Photos.
At Yolo Photos we specialize in unique photo booths and we have been incorporating unique party favors. We are mostly known for our Car photo booths. We have 3 different vintage cars the Hippie bug, The Super Beetle and the Agent 007. I feel very proud that we can provide a unique experience and a wow factor, watching the people faces when they see a vintage car in their ballroom is one thing but when they find out they can get their photo taken inside is priceless. I think that besides our unique products what set us apart is that we are willing to go the extra mile to make sure your event goes perfect and leave your guest with an amazing experience.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think everything is a learning process, and the experiences from yesterday help us being what we are today. I wouldn’t change anything.
