Today we’d like to introduce you to Iris Suri.
Iris, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am Cuban, I emigrate to the United States of North America in 2007, at the age of 37, alone and without family. In my native country I obtained a master’s degree in business, but when I arrived here without knowing any English and with an age that did not allow me to have much time for studies I decided to change to the world of beauty, I began to study a master’s degree in care of the skin, where I started specializing in removing hair from the body with a hard wax.
So I spent two years working for the Uni K Wax franchise, from which I separated and opened my first business in the 2010 Suri Spa, I wanted to take another step and I specialize in removing hair with laser, where after seven years I decide to open a new business with the name of Bye 2 Hair, our specialty is hair removal through laser technology, and finally, I decided to study medical assistant to be more professionally prepared and face new challenges at the medical level.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My first show was English, in my country we studied as a second Russian language, hahaha who speaks Russian only Russians, when arriving at the United States a barrier for me at the age of 37 years was English more than anything.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
The lessons learned is that you have to persevere, you have to have a plan towards anger, and every day give your best to serve better and with more quality, my biggest lesson is to have missed opportunities that never come back to return.
