Today we’d like to introduce you to Harol Prado.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Harol. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey as a makeup artist all started. On June 25th, 2019, I landed a chance to change my life with a great company named Charlotte Tillbury. As a young adult, I’ve always dreamed about being surrounded by beauty from Sunrise till sunset. There is something about bringing people together and interacting on different spectrums of art that rises and awakens my energy. Beauty & Makeup has been my escape for the longest since I can remember. In my childhood days watching my mom and her friends get ready together, I’ve always known the creative world was going to be my future. Here I am at 25 years old pursuing beauty and makeup.
One thing I’ve learned the past couple of years, being my self at all times with pure kindness and honesty will get you very far in life. Prior to being a makeup artist, I was just playing around with makeup as a hobby and never thought that I would be pursuing it as a full-time job like I am today, amongst other creative roles I’ve played. My main goal when starting a project is to make sure the environment is welcoming. Nobody wants to work in a space where negative energies are being put out. Also, my clients come first always there comfortability and reassurance that they are in good hands is priority. I am beyond thankful for where I stand today as an artist in Miami. Not everything you want will be handed to you so go out and work your way for your dreams to become a reality. I’ve only been a makeup artist for two years now professionally, my journey has only begun and I am beyond excited to see where I will be three years from today.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not everything you put your mind too will come out as planned, so making sure you take every opportunity and learn either if you aced it or didn’t doesn’t mean you can’t move forward and become a better version of yourself. Truthfully speaking my upbringing hasn’t been the brightest but that never stopped me from pursuing a better future for my family and myself.

As a Creative Artist, you are always in the mist of figuring out what makes you stand out from the rest, thankfully from a very young age, I’ve always known that my persona and energy was unique. Makeup was something I found to be so captivating. It brought so many people together to present a story. What I enjoy so much about my job is making sure I make people happy and satisfied with the end result. People meet me and automatically know that I am a person that is willing to work work work and dedicate myself to everything I put myself into from beginning to end, nothing that I’ve worked on I finish it halfway. I don’t believe in half as work, it’s either you do it or you don’t. When it comes to the type of makeup I specialize in, I can’t really say what it is because I don’t even know myself. Makeup is to experiment and practice in my opinion, we all have a favorite style. Don’t get me wrong but at as an artist, you shouldn’t limit yourself to just one style.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Miami is a beautiful city overall, its a melting pot of amazing humans from all cultures. Luckily I am thankful to say I am a true Miami-an Born and raised. Like everything in life, we all deserve better and some sort of progression, the city is slowly getting to a better place. Hopefully, for the new generation, there will be more opportunities when it comes to the artistry world. Growing up, I wasn’t privileged to have the amount of things like social media and amongst other platforms. But overall, I am grateful to be the first generation in my family to be have been born in Miami.
