Today we’d like to introduce you to Gitta Kocsis.
Gitta, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a serial Entrepreneur. I started Boca Writers in 2010 as a venture to give back to the community. We want to help our community grow and prosper. We work for the job seekers in our area.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes, it has been an overwhelmingly positive experience for me. We are growing organically with our community around us. As jobs are being created, the economy grows, word is getting out about our services and we are getting a growing customer base.
We do a great deal of our business online but I also got a chance to speak with over the phone and to meet in person many of the movers and shakers, accomplished professionals and frankly some of the nicest people.
I believe that in business if you have a good product, you deliver it fast and you have good customer service, things do work out. Marketing has been a bit of a challenge but that is a challenge with all businesses.
Boca Writers – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in writing professional resumes. As we mention on our website, although a resume may seem like a simple document, it is far from that! It is very difficult to get your resume noticed by a professional who is looking through dozens or even hundreds of resumes. Don’t ask your wife or nephew: write my resume. And do not show up to an interview with an old, vague, and out of date resume.
An expert will write a resume that will not be comparable to what you can do on your own. It will be beyond what a family member can do. We know exactly how to design you a resume that will get you to that coveted next step, getting the job.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as a personal feeling. When you as a professional know that the things that you set out to do you can than you know that you are personally successful. When you understand that the reigns of your professional life are in your hands than I believe that you feel like a success.
I believe that everyone can be successful. To quote Wayne Gretzky somewhat loosely, you miss all the shots you do not take. In life and business, you have to take heart and take all the shots you can without hesitation.
