Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgina Bachour.
Hi Georgina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Georgina Bachour. I’m a professional model, an acting and voice-over student, and a journalist. I was born in Santa Cruz, Venezuela, and my journey in the world of modeling began in 2012 when I received a scholarship to train at a modeling academy. That same year, I competed in Reinas de Ferias de la Candelaria, where I was crowned Carnival Queen and awarded Miss Elegance. Shortly after, I was selected to represent Venezuela at Miss Atlántico Internacional 2013 in Uruguay, where I placed as Second Runner-Up and won the Best National Costume award.
That experience opened the door to one of the most respected pageants in my country. In 2014, I was selected by the renowned beauty director, Osmel Sousa, as one of the top ten contestants in the Miss Aragua. This regional competition leads to the Miss Venezuela pageant. After multiple rounds of preparation and selection, I became one of the 24 official candidates of Miss Venezuela 2014, where I earned the title of Miss Sonrisa.
After the pageant, I made the life changing decision to move to the United States to pursue my dream not as a beauty queen, but as a model. Adjusting to a new country, learning a new language, and adapting to American industry standards proved to be challenging. What I thought would take one year took five, but eventually, my perseverance paid off when I signed with one of Miami’s top modeling agencies, The Source Models.
During that time, I continued studying and expanding my skills, including journalism, which strengthened my communication and storytelling abilities. I also worked as a TV host for From Miami TV, an experience that refined my on-camera presence and strengthened my connection to the media and entertainment industry.
My passion for acting developed naturally alongside my modeling career. My first on-screen opportunities came through supporting roles in major Spanish-language novelas, including:
La Mujer de Mi Vida | Telemundo Global Studios
Vuelve a Mí | Supporting | Telemundo Global Studios
Following those projects, I also appeared in Velvet (Telemundo), further strengthening my experience and visibility within the industry.
I later competed at The Industry Network, where I earned awards such as Best Voice-Over Actress, Best Commercial, Best Solo Scene, Best Headshots, and placed Second for Model of the Year and Best Runway.
These achievements opened even more opportunities in the U.S. market. I’ve signed with multiple agencies, including Slate Models, Marshall Agency, The Diamond Agency, MTM Talent, and Mad Talent, and have appeared in a wide range of commercials for brands such as Publix, Amscot, Marriott, Google, and others.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking for more than 100 designers, and my acting career is only just beginning. Every chapter from Venezuela to the United States has shaped me, challenged me, and strengthened my passion for the entertainment industry.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all, it has definitely not been a smooth road. I came to the United States alone from Venezuela to pursue my dreams, and when I arrived, I didn’t speak English and didn’t have the resources or foundation to start working in the fields I loved right away. I had to rebuild my life from zero while learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and navigating an extremely competitive industry, especially for immigrants.
There were years when progress felt slow and the obstacles felt overwhelming. But looking back now, ten years after arriving in this country, I can say every sacrifice was worth it. Every challenge taught me resilience, discipline, and patience, making each accomplishment even more meaningful.
My journey has not been easy, but it has shaped who I am today, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In my work today, I’m a professional model and actress who also continues to study acting, voice-over, and journalism. I’ve built a career that combines runway, commercial work, television, and on-camera hosting, and I’m recognized both for my presence in the U.S. entertainment industry and for my participation in Miss Venezuela, which many people still associate with me.
I consistently train, take classes, and invest in learning new skills because growth has always been a key part of who I am as an artist.
What I’m most proud of is the long-term consistency behind everything I do. I’ve built my career step by step, and every project reflects years of discipline, resilience, and self-development. I believe what truly sets me apart is my perseverance and the genuine passion I have for my craft. I never stop training or evolving, and I continually seek ways to expand my abilities, enabling me to bring more depth and professionalism to every opportunity.
At the end of the day, my work is defined by commitment, adaptability, and love for what I do, and those values continue to guide every chapter of my career.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe luck exists, but I don’t see it as the driving force behind my life or my career. I do feel that God has placed the right people, lessons, and even challenges in my path exactly when I needed them. From the outside, some moments may look like “good luck,” but to me, they feel more like the right timing.
You can be given an opportunity, but without discipline, growth, and readiness, it can slip through your fingers. That’s why I see my journey as a balance between “luck” and my own responsibility to show up and do the work.
So, yes, luck has been a factor, but what has truly shaped my path is preparation, resilience, and believing in myself when it mattered most.
