Today we’d like to introduce you to Francky Pierre-Paul.
For me, my journey began when I left home at the age of 16 in pursuit of in what I later learned were bad life choices at my expense. That was a challenging time in my life, I battled with my identity, depression, addiction and my will to live was void. It was the lowest time in my life, but it was in that low place that I found my voice and began to realize my purpose. It’s amazing how those two small words (voice and purpose) changed the entire course of my life, I had found myself and I made a promise to Francky that I would never be lost again. It was a tough lesson but it was a necessary one and from that moment, my goal in life has been to touch and impact EVERY person that crosses my path.
Easy, No – Worth It, YES. In my early and youthful years, I battled with who I was and I never felt I was good enough. Let me be clear, my parents never failed to love me and I they both did their best to raise me to be proud of my Haitian heritage; however, their voices couldn’t compete with the insecure voices in my head. Those voices controlled my thoughts and from that came insecurity and I often found myself seeking love from the wrong places. This led to depression and in my low place, the only thought I had was that of suicide. The hardest part for me was voicing that to someone because everyone knew me as the kid who would make everyone smile but behind that mask. It was my cry for help and the only thing that answered me back was alcohol and pills; that became my vice to numb the pain inside.
I am known for my inspirational videos on social media and public speaking. My purpose in life is speaking LIFE into those who like me are desperate for a reason to live. I move different and I love differently. Everyone reacts to pain differently and it is how you deal with that pain that makes you different from everyone else. I view everyone as family and take the judgment out of it all. Everyone just needs someone to listen and with that comes a genuine outpour of help. If you listen closely, you can actually feel the pain, If you look closely, you can actually see the pain, and if you open up your heart, you can actually feel the pain. I have a gift and what sets me apart is that I use this gift freely and ask for nothing in return. Love always WINS.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I loved to make people happy and laugh. I’m really good at it. I also picked up a pair of drumsticks at the age of eight and never looked back. I was known for the uniqueness of style and played in almost every church in south Florida up until the age of 14. I’m a people pleaser and a peoples person. If im at an event you will know for sure because I was known for being the ice breaker and making everyone come together.
