Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabion 305.
Fabion, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
To be honest, the first thing that influenced me to be involved with anything thing was music. From the day I can remember I have been singing, dancing, and rapping all the time. The key was actually listening to the words and not just the beat or rhythm. I learned to listen with a precise ear. I could hear the pain, the happiness, the sadness everything! That just opened me up to feel and care more because I was listening to more r&b and reggae at the time so my emotions and feelings were in tune.
Along the road, I lost my way a few times but the Most High always pushed me back on track. After a while, I just wanted to help people, help the world. Threw my music and threw physically going out there and getting in the field. Now I am on an even bigger mission. I still want to share my music with the world because it’s my dream but I know I must help out the children and the people of the world because that’s my reality. Alongside charities like Anaiys Charities and Tomorrows Place I think I am on the right path.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road that I have traveled has been a struggle plus some but I am thankful. Its been hard but I have had a lot of good times as well. The struggle of being a minority is already a battle plus I have long dreads which is an automatic issue in a lot of places. From I was young, I realized there were roadblocks in effect even if you can’t see them. I’ve been robbed, ridiculed, etc. all in the name of making music or trying to help the less fortunate.
I’ve been homeless, lived in hotels, slept in a car, etc but I was always taught what doesn’t break you makes you. My mother (Marcia Sweetland founder of Tomorrow’s place) was a strong single mother so even though times were rough she showed me and my brother how to never give up no matter how bad you think your struggling because someone somewhere has a lot less than you and they are more thankful, so I am thankful.
Fabion “305” (Musician/Humanitarian), Anaiys Charities (Non-Profit Charity), and Tomorrows Place (Non-Profit Charity) – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Number 1 is my music:
I’ve been doing music since the age of forever! I do a mixture of hip-hop/r&b/reggae/pop I am just a jack of all trades. I am also a singer/songwriter/producer. I know it a lot of titles but I am infatuated with anything that has to do with music. I have performed, been seen, or been heard on ABC, 99 Jamz, Beatz 96.3, Datpiff, etc. Ive performed at The Hard Rock (Miami and Hollywood), Tobacco Road, Dade County Youth fair, Jamaica, Mexico, Atlanta, etc. Performed alongside Mario, Twista, Dj Demp, JT Money, Thomas Jones, etc. I would definitely say that’s my specialty and what I am most known for.
Number 2 Charity work:
When I first met my lawyer (Latrese Mcphee) she pushed me to get even more involved with giving back. It was perfect timing as her daughter (Kyrah Williams founder of Anaiys Charities) had just started a non-profit charity organization. We automatically became in tuned (as they were already helping with my music career) on an even bigger picture so we hit the streets. Alongside great company’s like Cox Media (Mr.Maestro) and great cities like the City of Miramar we took off on a high note. I just love being able to put a smile on someone’s face who needs all the love and support they can get. Now I am also helping my mother get her charity going (Tomorrows Place).
Nothing sets me apart from anyone we are all special and unique. I am just a hard worker that is determined to make a positive impact on my music and my heart. Be the love you want to receive.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Good luck? More like faith and hard work! Luck never seemed to help me but having faith and working towards my goals was the best form of luck I ever had. Bad luck is something I think we all feel we go through. I think if you ask me. Your perception of good and bad luck might be different than someone else but most of the time we equate bad luck with what we want and can’t get. We start to believe the natural forces of life is telling us no when really it’s our negative energy (Bad Luck).
I would say both have played a role for me.
